Getting there

Suesca, Cundinamarca, is close to Colombia's capital, Bogotá, and can only be reached by land.

By public transport

Take the TransMilenio system to the Portal del Norte station; there you can board the intercity bus to Suesca. The town lies along the Autopista del Norte, a road generally in good condition.

By car

Leave via the Autopista Norte towards Tunja. You will pass two tolls; after the second one comes the turn-off for Suesca, Sesquilé and Guatavita — the vehicle bridge you will find after the toll. Take the loop and turn right for six kilometres; the road is paved all the way and generally in good shape. In the last kilometres, take care: the road is busy with pedestrians and cyclists.

To the Rocks

The Rocas de Suesca are one kilometre before the town. The entrance is before the bridge over the Bogotá River: turn right to the railway line and follow the tracks for about 150 metres north.
